Scratch It! Lucky Cards - Play Test
Carving wood all day is back-breaking work, and it barely pays the bills. So why not scratch a few tickets and see if luck is on your side? Imagine if this were your real job. Imagine if it made you rich.
Buy tickets, upgrade your luck, and scratch your way from the workshop to the jackpot.
Tips (some strategy spoilers)
Here's a quick guide for people having trouble with the game. If you want the full challenge, don't read it.
- You can cut bad tickets with the scissors. If you have a losing ticket that would cost you money when you press the cash button, don't click cash: click outside and then drag the ticket to the scissors.
- Be careful with new tickets. They need to be leveled up, and some extra luck, to be profitable. Use them only when you have enough money that you won't go broke if you lose.
- Although debt is dangerous, sometimes it can help you move faster.
- Always remember to manage risk.

What you're playing here is a free demo of Scratch It: Lucky Cards. It gives you a taste of the core loop: scratching, winning, upgrading, and pushing your luck. The full version on Steam has more ticket types, deeper upgrades, and a lot more ways to get rich (or lose it all).

I bought the magnet upgrade for auto-scratcher and it shows I bought it, but it doesn't work.
Hi, if you press over the magnet scratcher and there are tickets on the board, it should pull them into it. please let me know if it works.
It does not. I press the scratcher and it does nothing

I just ran a single run through and rebirthed and everything seems to work well!
Edit: The return button on the options menu might need checking, I clicked on it to check on things, and the little green return button on the lower right side of the pop up menu did not go back to the game.
I was able to go to the home menu though.

I was playing normally on a fresh run (Not a restart) and after clicking on the port ticket several times, I revealed two matching icons on one ticket but no cash in button appeared, tried another, none appeared, the button seemed to just glitch out and would not come up at all.
I tried buying another ticket, no cash in button after clearing up all the icons.

I don't know what happened, but I was scratching a ticket (the $100 one) and got three spades, but it would not consider it "finished" scratching at any point, even after all five symbols were fully scratched, it only let me exit the ticket, drag it to the scissors, and buy and scratch new ones, but they also would not complete, just do the same thing as before. Now I can't even click "PLAY" or "WISHLIST" on the home screen. It just doesn't register the clicks no matter what I do.

Had a bug where the sell button wouldn't come up for a winning combo. Refreshed and now the play button won't respond. :( Shame because it's fun from what I've played
now here is the thing, i unlock "puerto pirata" ticket to buy, but every time i got to $7 - $8 i got broken wood and get -4 or -3, i am in this loop for 10min, and i cant even get to buy one
I scratched my first $2k Fossil ticket, it was for -$8k when I only had a few hundred left, leaving me over $7k in the negative. Then the green bug tell me I could have a loan of $10k, and a book opened that I absolutely could not close in any way. Even hitting Escape only pulled up the settings menu over it.
Some really weird gameplay choices here: why do I have to pay 3 money if I break a piece of wood I already paid for? Makes no sense?
There's too much scratching going on in the start, it's very hard to get the gameplay loop of the ground. You nweed to fix this as it's hairpulling frustrating.
Hi, mmmotion, thanks for the feedback. So in your opinion the wood carving part should be more easy? what do you think about removing the posibility of loosing money when a wood breaks, maybe only loosing the value of the wood.?
It would be nice if it was skill based? You have to follow the lines and be precise about it?
Like it is I just have to flail blindly for almost a minute to carve it and then I get punished. Yes I think there should be no extra penalty apart from losing the wood.
that seems a good Idea, I will think about it. and about the wood I have change it, now you only can loose the value of the wood. thanks
Start is just a slog, and then when you rebirth, I REALLY don't want to go through the same wood whittling process again :/

0% chance for an icon and the icon still shows up on the scratch card here and there. I don't know if it's limited to the pirate scratch card or not.

There is also a small issue regarding updating the held amount of money. Sometimes a purchase or a prize doesn't actually change the amount. I'm sorry I can't provide more details with it. It's not critical since the next change will show the real amount properly, but it could cause confusion in specific scenarios. (with the version of the previous message. If you already adressed it, you can ignore this)

You can get softlocked after the final ticket by spending your $1 on wood to carve and getting a piece of trash that sells for -$2, leaving you with $0 and no way to obtain more.

Pretty fun, but once I got the rebirth ticket scratched, the book that came up did not have a clear button to restart the game with upgrades.

Ace of fortune you go from 30% chance of gaining 500$ to 20% after buying the lucky charm, doesn't make sense.
also i got a debt, it opened the book, and couldn't afford anything so i'm stuck there
